Getting to meet Amy Tangerine and her momma Chiao has put me on such a positive path.  I went to Craftcation17 to build my community and get inspired.  I did build my community and I am beyond inspired.  I made so many new friends and can’t wait to see them again.

I was lucky enough to get in to Amy’s watercolor hand lettering class.  She and her mom were so gracious and giving of their time.  It was one of the highlights of my trip.

I LOVE watercolor.  I really do.  But, I have never felt comfortable with my hand lettering.  I’ve taken calligraphy classes and purchased how to books, but I never had the confidence.  I think I knew the techniques, but I hated everything I did.  In Amy’s class something clicked inside and it just started flowing.  It felt good and I started to feel content and proud of what I was putting on the page.  Maybe it was all of the joy in the room and the giving nature of so many people I met.  I’m not sure, but something felt different.

One of the key items Amy taught us was that we have to practice.  Every day if we can.  I will definitely try.  It’s so fun and it’s making me so happy.  I have so many plans for my business and my life.  Having this new energy and confidence is spilling out in to the other parts of my creative life and I’m feeling unstoppable!
