In the early 90's, I found my way to Seattle's School of Visual Concepts. At this incredible school, under the guidance of working artists, I took every class I could from oil painting, to color theory, figure drawing to pastel. My heart truly soared when I discovered watercolor.
Painting with watercolor brings me such pleasure and joy. My hope is that when people see my work they feel some of the same joy that I felt in creating it. My inspiration comes from the simple beauty of my surrounding world. I love to finish a painting and see how the final piece creates a life of it’s own. Patterns repeat and colors emerge. An entire world has been created and I enjoy watching others share in that new time and place.
I am fascinated by the creativity in others and am in awe of the other artists in my life. They provide so much inspiration, encouragement and support. I'm thankful for all of them.
